NSS-NT will have their first field trip of the year on January 3rd at the Fort Worth Science and History Museum at 1pm.

Tentatively, everyone should meet at the Noble Planetarium at least fifteen minutes before the 1:30pm show 'Black Holes the Other Side of Infinity.'

Afterward, all who can and wish to close down the museum stay longer until the 5pm closing.

TAS STARGEEZER Star Party

This is a wonderful suburban Star Party at a very nice observing site in Spring Park, Jonandrea Lane, Garland, Texas (between Jupiter Rd. and Clear Springs Drive. This party is held on the first Saturday of each month, weather permitting.

This free event begins at dark. Bring the whole family.

UNT Star Party

Star Parties are held on the 1st Saturday of every Month, and begin 30 minutes after sundown. (Weather permitting)

From I35E & I35W exit Bonnie Brae Road and turn south. Merge to the right at Airport Road and continue for 1.8 miles. Turn right on S. Masch Branch Road and continue for 0.7 miles. Turn left on Tom Cole Road and continue for 1.3 miles. The Rafes Urban Astronomy Center will be on the right.

TAS Stars on the Rocks Star Party

This is one of Rockwall's nicest neighborhood public parks. The event starts at sunset on the 4th Sunday of each month- weather permitting. See the Google map link below for direction. The observing area is about 50 yards from the street with sidewalk access.

World Space Week

an international celebration of science and technology, and their contribution to the betterment of the human condition. The United Nations General Assembly declared in 1999 that World Space Week will be held each year from October 4-10. These dates commemorate two events:

* October 4, 1957 -- Launch of the first human-made Earth satellite, Sputnik 1, thus opening the way for space exploration
* October 10, 1967 � The signing of the Treaty on Principles Governing the Activites of States in the Exploration and Peaceful Uses of Outer Space, including the Moon and Other Celestial Bodies.

NCTECH Ham Festival

A great place to buy, sell or swap electronics parts and so forth to build your rocket, radiotelescope or ground station out with. Keep in mind that as a licensed Amateur Radio operator you are automatically granted Space Station and Ground Station priveleges in accordance with you level of license.
